This piece represents the seven predominantly Muslim countries listed in the 2017 travel ban. Long-distance migratory birds hold the national flowers of Libya, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, and Syria, and landmarks and symbols from Sudan and Somalia are intertwined with traditional Islamic architectural patterning and tracery. 

The phrases used reflect signs created during protest of the ban.
